In worship, we acknowledge God as Father and that every human being is called to be one body, one spirit in Christ. We are called by God to be Church, to be the people who do God?s will, to be the people who show the face of God to our brothes and sisters. Our Sunday gathering is the principal way we witness to our communal identity. But we build and encourage community in a whole variety of ways. In small faith-communities, either in the church, or school, or in homes, we gather to pray and teach each other to pray in word and song. We gather to break open the Word of God and give it meaning and relevance to our lives. We gather for social events to get to know each other better and grow in friendship and mutual support.
