Deficit Reduction-Fundraising Team Status/ Plans
- Suggestion to pass out cards in May asking what parishioners think they’ll contribute in the next fiscal year. Aim to make people more aware of their contribution.
- Want to do a registration drive. Check current name and address. Rebuilding data base. Helps them to connect to parish.
- Carnival doesn’t really work when you don’t have a school.
- Lottery/Raffle could work if we had some people to give good prizes.
- Valentines Dinner was successful. Dinner planned for Easter could be parish wide. Kids could possibly have an Easter egg hunt. Should be specific about purpose of fundraiser.
- Good Friday Via Crusis procession. Cost for police last year was $500. Main idea is to bring the adoration of the cross to the people. (Leo)
Maintenance Committee Status
- Maintenance Committee currently on hiatus. (Peg)
Parish 50th Anniversary Celebration Update
- Next meeting on March 15th.
- Commemorative booklet most urgent: Selling ads to sponsor printing. Marge made draft of announcement requesting submissions of stories and pictures. Should clarify that these submissions are free and distinguished from special ads that must be purchased.
- Dialinda printed nice invitations for the mass to be mailed to officials. 220 tickets printed. At least 14 will be held back and be given as gifts. Possibly one to new pastor.
- Reusable grocery bags should have “Golden Jubilee” printed on them. Initial run of 500 bags but we can also reorder if needed. . (Peter)
- Budget: Aim to break even or pull in a little money. Charging $50/person but actually costs $29/person. $180 vinyl banner. $1500 total for reusable bags and selling at $5/bag. $433 for stage might be able to cover cost with dinner. Chair rentals at $340. Instead of renting canopy, Leo might be able to make one with a tarp and poles for about $75.
- Reception following the mass: 3 food stations or boxed meals costing about $1,500.
- St. Williams having their 50th Anniversary on June 20, 2009.
Google Groups/ PC Blog
- Aaron is adding people to group but it’s mostly dormant. It will succeed when there’s content there that people want to see.

NEXT MEETING:
• March 12 (Thursday) possibly have extraordinary meeting if upcoming changes in leadership are announced soon and because of poor February meeting attendance (6 members absent).
