1. Pastor’s Report (Fr. Casey)

H.G. Fathers are very happy with Mass of Appreciation and Farewell Reception.
Leaders’ meeting with Fr. Oscar held on Wednesday June 24th went well.
Transition is going well. Fr. Oscar is doing a good job with public relations.
Budget has not been set. Final figures will be decided by Fr. Oscar.

2. Holy Ghost Fathers Farewell Reception Status Report (Aaron/Jenniffer)

Parish paid $90. Everything else was donated. Had about a dozen volunteers.
Sunday, June 28th, commemorative booklets and reusable bags will continue to be sold for $5 each and corrections for the booklet will also be available for pick-up. Kevin will help after 10:30 a.m. Mass, Peter after 12:00 p.m. Mass, Jose Luis after 1:00 p.m. Mass. Quite a few reserved books have not yet been picked up.
"Eleanor to pick up coffee for June 28th Coffee and Donuts at 8 a.m. from El Monte Starbucks and Jerry will bring it back after 10:30 a.m. Mass.

3. Installation of New PC Members (Jerry/Kevin)

New Pastoral Council members for the 2009-2010 term: Gustavo Urias, Doris Chou, Mildred Jones, Mabel Parra, Jose Luis Rodriguez
Retiring Pastoral Council members: Jerry Jensen, Peg Herzing, Jose Carillo, America Di Lasio
Suggestion to have an installation ceremony for the new members. (Fr. Casey)

4. Discernment/Installation of FY2009-2010 PC Officers (Jerry)

Officers for FY 2009-2010: Chairman- Kevin Whitley

Vice Chair- Peter Taskovich

Secretary- Eleanor Kintana

5. Preliminary Approval of PC Guidelines, Status, Plans (Peter)

Final changes approved. Fr. Oscar will need to review guidelines and can make any necessary amendments.

6. Formation of “Athanasius Booster Club” Support Group (Jerry)

Purpose of “ABC” Support Group is to advise and assist Pastoral Council especially on the subcommittee level and will be comprised of former PC members. Will be part of email distribution of minutes.
List available of former PC members from 2003 through 2009.

7. New Business.

Tuesday July 7th , 7 p.m.- Proposed date and time for Family Prayer Hour with intentions for the new pastoral council and new pastor.
Thursday, July 23rd, 7:30 p.m.- Special PC meeting with Fr. Oscar
Sub-committee for cross-cultural integration: Plans for more bilingual Masses, festivals, BBQ, get-togethers for ministries (i.e. lectors, EM’s), dances. Contact Gustavo for more ideas.
Request to regularly devote 5-10 minutes of PC agenda to Hispanic community’s concerns. (America)

8. PC Annual Potluck

Celebrated annual PC pot-luck social hour at the end of the meeting.
